काठमाडौं,२ असोज । नेपालकी अन्तरिम सरकारकी प्रधानमन्त्री सुशीला कार्कीसँग आज नेपालका लागि अमेरिकाका राजदूत डिन थम्पसनले भेट गरेका छन् ।
राजदूत थम्पसनले हालैका प्रदर्शनहरूमा ज्यान गुमाएका प्रति श्रद्धाञ्जली व्यक्त गरे र नेपालको अबको शान्तिपूर्ण र लोकतान्त्रिक यात्रामा अमेरिकाको समर्थन दोहोएका थिए ।
अमेरिका र नेपालबिच ७८ वर्षभन्दा अघि देखिको साझेदारीलाई स्मरण गर्दै दुवै पक्षले व्यापार, आर्थिक वृद्धि, विपद् व्यवस्थापन, र नेपालकै सबैभन्दा रूपान्तरणकारी पूर्वाधार साझेदारीका रूपमा रहेको एमसीसी सम्झौताका प्राथमिकताहरूमा छलफल गर्नुभयो, जसले अमेरिका र नेपाललाई अझ सुरक्षित, सबल, र समृद्ध बनाउन सहयोग पुर्याउँने विश्वास गरिएको छ।
Today, Ambassador Dean Thompson met with Nepal’s Interim Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Sushila Karki.
Ambassador Thompson offered condolences for the lives lost in Nepal’s recent protests and reaffirmed support for Nepal’s peaceful, democratic path forward.
Recognizing over 78 years of U.S.–Nepal partnership, they discussed priorities for furthering trade, economic growth, disaster preparedness, and the MCC Compact’s commitment to Nepal’s most transformative infrastructure partnership – leading to a safer, stronger, more prosperous United States and Nepal.
