Post-Ceasefire Scenario of India and Pakistan

Bipin Deo: In an atmosphere of attack and counter-attack between India and Pakistan, tweet of President Trump raised a ray of hope that both India and Pakistan agreed to ceasefire. On the one
hand Trump condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and on the other hand, he declared himself as a self appointed mediator after his failure in meditation between Russia and Eukraine, Israiel and Hamas. His vice president went a step higher pampering military leadership of Pakistan that they have been hunting terrorist. In statement of American President and Vice President, reality is not captured in ointing out terrorism is being aided, abated and instigated by military leadership of Pakistan. In the chess board of diplomacy, America wants to balance both India and Pakistan equally. After April 22, India devised a strategy of its own to shake the fabric of military structure of Pakistan keeping the experience of 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1991 in mind apart from number of tinny-minny conflicts and confrontation over period of time. “Operation Sindoor” is quite symbolical and metaphorical. This operation is being led by “Ministry of External affairs”. In other words, press briefing and press reporting are prepared, presented and materialized by no other than Ministry of External Affairs (Foreign Secretary). It is connotative and denotative. Connotation is that Inlernation community should keep its eyes open on fanaticism and terrorism. Denotation is obvious that foreign ministry appraises all its diplomatic wings to gain and garner good-will and sympathy for all friendly countires. Saga of Pakistan is different government of Sahbaj Sarrif is under the tenterhook of apron of Military Leadership of Asim Munir. It is irony of fate that India has waitressed frequent general election even after 1951, but in Pakistan there is an election of Generals. In the long spam of Pakistan history, Military Generals have upper hand, over politicians. These General have nexus and proximity with fanatics. That is to say, military leadership and religious fanatics do their best to exercise power in all spheres of social, political and economical life of people. Credit can be given to Mohammad, Ziaulhaq, Military General of Pakistan, who came out with a theory of Juxtaposing state machineries and religious institutions in order to turn and transform the entire society on the path of radicalization.
General Gia was clear in his view after being defeated in 1947, 1965, 1971, India As a result, Pakistan spread of fanaticism and terrorism in all nooks and corner of India society. It was due to this policy that Pakistan become epicenter of terrorism. Whatever happens in Thailand, Indonesia, America, Syria and other courtiers, roots of terrorist can be traced in the soil of Pakistan. Bin La Din could be seen an example of its. Therefore, India has no choice and no alternative to fight at two fronts: one against Military establishment and other against fanatics. Ceasefire after three days of intense attack and counter attack has multiple messages. Both India and Pakistan are not in position to continue war. In case of India, it has to attain its goal of becoming the third largest economy by 2030. To close, it must have market friendly atmosphere for investment, tourism and so on. Plight of Pakistan is different it is being threatened by Tailibans, Thahrike Talibans, Baluchistan liberation Army and other regional forces. Imprisonment of Imrau Khan has brought storm in a tea cup of politics of Pakistan. Political parties are divided on various issues. Fanaticism, dogmatism and fundamentalism are part of Pakistan way of life. At present, Asim Munir is not schooled in proper modern pattern of liberal education rather he is ‘Hafize Quran’. It means to say that unlike other military dictators he wants to convert society in term of “Sariyat”. As a result of it, Mosques in Pakistan have much more attraction than modern pattern of schools. It is estimated that two crores of children are far away from modern schooling system. Mosques, though selected, have become den of terrorists. This is the reason that Indian Army has targeted Mosques.
In this ceasefire, there is larger role of Army from the side of Pakistan and political leadership from the side of India. After torrent of lies, Pakistan Army came to realize its Air space has totally eroded and dismantled. In digitalized war fare attack is precise. In Pakistan, there is a cell of retired military officers called “Big Boys”. Having had a rich volume of experience they come to feel that there is an existential threat to Pakistan. They devised a plan to bring Asim Munir under unprecedented pressure to create a condusive atmosphere for ceasefire. Ex-Army Chief Kamar Bajba and Rahim Safirm held various rounds of discussion with Ex-Intelligence Chief Fez Ahmed and Namid Manjor. All of them met Asim Munir, Ultimately, an atmosphere was created by active role of Munir. Now ball is at the court of Pakistan how peace process goes ahead. We all wish and pray for peace and friendly relation between two nuclear countries.
